Cargill Enterprises is a Business Enterprise with a social purpose. It is the trading arm of the Disabled Citizens Society (Otago) Inc. Based in South Dunedin Cargills have been supplying quality products, services and support since 1960.

At Cargills we employ over 80 people with some level of disability in our 4 business units: 

  • Timberworks
  • Food Packing
  • Recycling
  • Assembly Services

We specialise in the manufacturing of wood products like pallets, boxes, crates / dunnage and polystyrene cutting. Our services include e-waste decommissioning for recycle, packing items for dispatch including  decanting, weighing, labeling, repacking and assembling.  But we turn our hand to much much more so feel free to contact us and discuss your business needs.

As the Disabled Citizens Society (Otago) Inc we embrace the principles of Enabling Good Lives, we provide a unique training environment that facilitates social and professional growth. our aim is to create a real work environment that prepares our employees for the challenges of the workplace.  For this reason, we call ourselves ‘The Social Business’.
