Chris Staynes Board Chair

Chris has a BSc and commenced his career in 1973, gaining experience in product design and production engineering.  He advanced his career from senior product design engineer, to product engineering manager and lastly General Manager for a local appliance manufacturer from 1980 until his retirement in 2006.  Chris keeps himself busy as he is Councillor and Deputy Mayor of Dunedin, the Chair of the Economic Development Committee and the Grow Dunedin Partnership which is responsible for implementing Dunedin's economic development strategy. He serves as a director or trustee on several community, charitable and business organisations including being the Board Chair for Cargill Enterprises. 

Chris has been married to Cheryl for over 40 years and he is a long-time wine-lover
